December 2006 - Second Polyphony Grammy Award nomination

The Polyphony CD of the music of Eric Whitacre, Cloudburst, has been nominated for a US Grammy Award for best choral performance. 

This is the second year running that a recording by Polyphony and Stephen Layton has been nominated for a Grammy. 

Cloudburst has been described by BBC Radio 3 as ‘a staggering disc … superbly sung’, by the Times as ‘extraordinarily beautiful’, and by Classic FM Magazine as ‘unmissable’.

The Grammy Awards presentation ceremony will take place on 11 February 2007 in Los Angeles and will be broadcast around the world.
